Arianne Struik

Arianne is the director of The Institute for Chronically Traumatized Children in Perth. She is a Clinical Child Psychologist, Family Therapist and EMDR-consultant originally from the Netherlands. Arianne has more than 25 years of experience with trauma treatment for children living at home, in foster families or in residential facilities. She developed Sleeping Dogs method. She is a member of the ESTD Child and Adolescent Committee and the national APS EMDR IG committee.

Caroline Dierkx

Caroline is one of the ICTC’s Sleeping Dogs trainers. She provides training and consultation on the Sleeping Dogs method internationally.
As a clinical psychologist and EMDR therapist, Caroline has broad experience with trauma treatment in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Infant Mental Health and is currently working with chronically traumatized, infants, children and families in Psycho-trauma Centre Sterk Huis in Goirle, the Netherlands.
From her private practice, Caroline provides training on trauma and attachment (Praktijk073).

Mirjam Pijpers

Mirjam is one of the ICTC's Sleeping Dogs trainers, Clinical Psychologist / Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Practitionar, Mirjam Pijpers provides training and consultation on the Sleeping Dogs method.
Over the last fifteen years she has been working with chronically traumatized infants, children and their families in a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital in the Netherlands, where she was programdirector for children with emotional disorders for two years. She recently commenced working in a general hospital with children and adolescents, who have experienced medical trauma.
Mirjam also provides training on the trauma and attachment from her private practice (Praktijk073)

Danny de Bakker

Danny is one of the ICTC’s Sleeping Dogs trainers. She provides training and consultation on the Sleeping Dogs method. As a clinical psychologist and EMDR therapist, Danny has broad experience with trauma treatment in residential youth care and is currently working with chronically traumatized infants, children and families in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Breburg Centrum, the Netherlands.

Sarah Voschero Christensen

Sarah is one of the ICTC’s Danish Sleeping Dogs trainers, and provides training and consultation in the method in Denmark. Sarah is an EMDR therapist and has worked with complex child and family cases for the last ten years. She was part of a team specialized in assessment and treatment of children/young people who have been sexually abused. Sarah is currently working in a clinical setting with children, young people and families in a Danish family center, and also provides trauma treatment form her private practice.

Charlotte Sommerfeldt

Charlotte is one of the ICTC’s Danish Sleeping Dogs trainers, and provides training and consultation in the method in Denmark. She is a clinical psychologist, Theraplay therapist level 1 and EMDR clinician. She works with families in a municipality family service centre in the outskirts of Copenhagen. She became a specialist in child psychology in 2009 and has for 15 years worked with complex families, young people and their network in a systemic framework.
